Our Shipping & Maritime department is adept at drafting, negotiating and advising clients on matters related to transportation of cargo through marine vessels. We aim to provide advice and counselling to our shipping clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters within the UAE and the region and also under foreign law where necessary.

Our team in the Shipping & Maritime practice is well experienced and has assisted all kinds of shipping clients including ship owners and charterers on bunkers, containers, bills of lading, ship purchase agreements, crewing contracts and charterparties.
REGULATORY EXPERTISE
Under regulatory matters, we have also advised on M&A transactions and matters involving the Federal Transport Authority due to our role as local counsel on cross-border transactions.

Our Shipping & Maritime team is able to provide specialist advice and work closely with our commercial and dispute resolution team to provide advisory services as well as counselling on local Court disputes. Our team is experienced in advising clients on disputes in the UAE Courts with regards to crew employment, cargo and charter party disputes as well as ship arrests.
